YOUTH FIRE DEPARTMENT

Basic prerequisite for the Lolland-Falster Fire Brigade youth fire brigade

  • The purpose of the youth fire brigade is to support the continuous work on Lolland-Falster, with providing volunteers and part-time firefighters for LFBV, including the construction fire brigade.

  • The youth fire service must embrace fully trained fire cadets aged 13 to 17, as well as other young people aged 16 to 17, with an interest in LFBV's work areas.

  • The youth fire brigade must provide members with knowledge and skills that, at the age of 18, enable them to transfer to LFBV's volunteer group and / or apply for employment as a part-time firefighter.

  • The youth fire brigade's major activities are focused on time periods etc. (holidays and the like), where the young people's surroundings and society's other offers or lack thereof, can challenge their affiliation and commitment and thus their continued desire to be part of LFBV.

  • The members of the Youth Fire Corps can, after separate assessment, act as assistant instructors for the fire cadets and participate in voluntary tasks as redundant without an independent area of responsibility.
